Prior & Upcoming Events
Below you'll find upcoming workshops, courses, and events: from trauma-informed writing sessions to creative writing workshops in poetry, children's fiction, fantasy, and more.
I hold an MA in Creative Writing & Teaching from Cardiff University, where I specialised in writing for therapeutic purposes—especially within communities and for those navigating complex PTSD. My academic research explored how many widely-used pedagogical and therapeutic approaches to writing were no longer aligned with modern neuroscience or trauma research. I was struck by how many people were left in limbo—waiting years for support that often didn’t meet them where they truly were. That’s where this work was born.
I’m passionate about offering updated, compassionate, evidence-informed alternatives—writing spaces that help people take back power in their recovery journey and safely reclaim their voice and narrative. My approach is not about rumination, but reclamation. Not just about reflection, but expression that moves—toward clarity, self-trust, and transformation.
As a writer, I blend the literary with the lyrical—the personal with the mythical. Fairy tales, folklore, and poetry run through my work, helping say what is too deep, too tangled, or too tender to name directly.
Whether you’re here for creative exploration or emotional excavation, for storytelling or healing, for craft or connection—there’s a place for you here.

The Burne Society: Reclaiming Voice Through Shropshire Folklore
Coming soon
A narrative therapy programme for women healing through story.
Shropshire is a county of hidden voices: whispering woods, folklore passed down in kitchens, stories that survive in silence. This project celebrates that — and uses it for restoration.
By working with local folklore and women’s lived experience, we turn landscape into medicine and story into belonging. Each session explores a tale rooted in Shropshire — from ghostly black dogs to healing springs — and reflects it back through narrative therapy practices.
These aren’t just cultural activities. They’re an act of reclamation: This is Shropshire — and these are her daughters, writing themselves whole.

‘Re-writing Your Story - Creative Writing for Healing and Empowerment’ at Swan Hill Studios
On Sunday, 18th May 2025, I held my debut 3-hour workshop at the stunning Georgian Swan Hill Studios in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Six brave and beautiful souls came.
This intimate, trauma-informed writing workshop was designed to guide people gently through the process of exploring and transforming their personal story. Drawing from narrative therapy techniques and my background in creative writing and C-PTSD recovery, we used creative exercises to identify limiting beliefs, externalise challenges, and begin re-authoring our narratives with compassion, strength, and self-trust.
Fairy tales, reflection, a warm sense of community, and the empowering magic of creative expression.
